About

Developer and tinkerer, currently at AuthZed. I work on authorization.

I’ve been coding since I was a kid. I rode the dot-com boom and bust at a startup that did some pioneering XML work and had unlimited soda, worked on Windows Vista in the boxed-software era, and spent time at Amazon across platform, Kindle, and other consumer hardware products that may never ship. I helped build the initial product at a SaaS company that became a unicorn. I've also run a small agency helping nonprofits and early-stage startups apply technology to their mission.

I like to MacGyver things. At work that means building systems end-to-end and exploring experimental projects. At home it means opening the fridge and figuring out dinner.

Sounders since 2009. Bring back the Sonics.

I live in Seattle, where it’s .
